Sam was just as glad to be able to stretch out on a decent bed. He wouldn't complain about sitting with Dean, but hospitals weren't comfortable and he was kind of too big to fit comfortably side by side in one of the narrow beds with Dean.

He was looking forward to being able to have room and have Dean close without any scrutiny from the nurses anyway or disapproving looks like he was disturbing his own injured sister by being close. He brought their things in and put their food on a table, and stuck with Dean in case she needed help getting in.
